Our tour agency will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 am, and we’ll begin our journey to the town of Mollepata, where we’ll enjoy a traditional breakfast. Afterward, we’ll board our bus and continue the scenic drive, passing through picturesque landscapes and streams, until we reach Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike to the beautiful Humantay Lagoon. Upon arrival, our expert guide will ensure you’re well-equipped with trekking poles, water, and personal items before we begin the trek at an altitude of 4,250 meters (13,943 feet). The hike takes about an hour and a half, leading us to the stunning Humantay Lagoon, where we’ll have plenty of time to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty and the energizing spirit of the Salkantay Mountain. Our guide will also share a traditional coca leaf demonstration and a small offering to the «Apus» (mountain spirits) that have guided us. After this unforgettable experience, we’ll descend back to Soraypampa, where our bus awaits to take us to Mollepata for a delicious lunch. We will return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 pm, completing this incredible full-day adventure to Humantay Lagoon.
